Year after year, the number of people with Internet access in Mexico increases. More than 96 million people have this service according to user records on social networks in Mexico.
Based on the above, 74% of Mexico has internet access. These figures increased by 3.8% between 2021 and 2022, adding more than 3.6 million users. Users who do not have internet today are 34 million, that is, 26% of the country.
Regarding connection issues, the speed that stands out in mobile devices is 22.21 megabytes while in fixed points it is 36.5, representing an increase of 5.8% compared to the previous year in smartphones and an increase of 38% in fixed points.
Social networks in figures:
Facebook has 89 million users at the beginning of 2022 while the audience is 51.7% female and 48.3%, male.
YouTube with more than 80 million active users, Mexico closed its figures at the beginning of this year. 49.8% female audience and 50.2% male.
Tiktok is the third social network with the largest number of followers. It has more than 46 million active profiles in Mexico. 60% of its audience is female and 40% male.
Instagram, from the Meta company, has around 37.85 million followers. 55% of its audience is female and 45% female.
Finally, in the top 5, the corporate social network Linkedin has 17 million profiles, 43% of these being female and 57% male.
